Wahine Productions is a production entity created by Anne Mesa and is the result of continued artistic collaborations with writers, directors, actors, dancers, musicians and production crews.

About Anne Tamanaha Mesa
From Okinawa, Japan, Anne primarily grew up in Los Angeles and enjoys helping artists succeed in their artistic endeavors. Since 2008, Anne has produced several world premieres, musicals, one acts, spoken word, and one-person shows at Write Act Repertory in Hollywood. All The Wrong Places, How Katrina Plays, Just A Song At Twilight, Brooklyn USA, Our Beds Are Crowded, The EDGE Improv, Urban Legends Spoken Word, Waking from the Dream, Bridge/’Roid Rage, No-Fault, Berlin Cowboys, Geeks! The Musical, Pillars of New York, JOE & MARILYN: A Love Story, A Colorful Conscience, and more. She produced Four Tree Plays with Ray Burley Productions for the 2014 Hollywood Fringe Festival and received an "Encore Producers Award" for Best World Premiere. She produced the short film, Krampus, with Parry-Riposte Films, which won "Best Film" at the 2017 Krampus Film Festival in Asbury Park, NJ.
Aside from producing, Anne also directs and choreographs from time to time. Failure to the Family II: The Glass Ceiling, re-mount of Geeks! The Musical (Assistant Director), If Nietzsche Dated, Coupon Caper, Willard Manus’ Blues for Central Avenue, Measure for Measure, Uncle Vampire. She also taught Swing dance in Tokyo for a summer program at the American School in Japan (ASIJ).
As a performer, she has performed on several stages and venues, including iO West, Del Close Theatre, Electric Lodge, Theatre Asylum, The Echo, The Palace of Fine Arts (San Francisco), and others. She is a founding member of The EDGE Improv, finalists in the 2012 "Harold" Championship for iO West's 10th Annual LA Improv Comedy Festival. She also worked on indie films, web series, and background for Film/TV (Drew Carey Show, ER, Eve, The Rundown, Airheads, Lingo, Acting Dead).
Anne continues to participate in the community and has served as a panelist for the "Producers Panel" at the Academy for New Musical Theatre (ANMT) in Los Angeles (view article here.) She helped raised funds through plays for Hurricane Katrina Relief Fund, Japan Tsunami/Earthquake Relief Fund, Children of the Night, and volunteers at non-profits such as Feed the Homeless, LA Mission, and local mentoring programs (Young Storytellers, Viacommunity, Impact, elementary schools, etc.). Outside of theatre, she served as Chair for AMP (Asian-American Media Professionals) at Paramount Pictures, Board Member for NAPA (Network for Asian and Pacific Americans) at Warner Bros., and currently serves as Co-Chair for ARC (Asian Americans & Pacific Islanders Representing Change) at Warner Bros./WarnerMedia, 2021.
